 Well, here's the chapters outline, if anyone's interested....

Each chapter relates to a specific 3rd Doctor storyline, and Pitch Black has a place in all of them, whether as the Boogeyman, Kozmotis Pitchiner, the Nightmare King, or the Guardian of Caution.
 
I'll be taking the story through the whole UNIT run.
